What languages does Vocabry support?+
Dutch is live today with full A1, A2 and B1 curricula: 36 lessons and 2,000+ words, each with example sentences and audio. German, French and Spanish are launching next, built on the same engine, so institutes teaching those languages can onboard as soon as their curriculum is mapped.
How is this different from Duolingo or Memrise?+
Generic apps teach a fixed word list in their own order. Vocabry is built from your institute's own textbook: the words, example sentences, lesson numbers and chapter themes match what your teacher covers in class each week. It reinforces your course instead of running a parallel one.
Can my institute get a custom version?+
Yes, that's the core offering. Send us your textbook or syllabus and we map it into Vocabry: your lesson structure, your word lists, your example sentences. Students get an app that follows your course exactly. Use the demo request below to start.
How does the pronunciation feedback work?+
You record yourself saying a word. Vocalize splits it into syllables, scores each one, and tells you specifically what went wrong and how to correct it, for example, that your Dutch "g" sounded like an English one, and how to produce the soft throat sound instead. It's corrective coaching, not just a percentage.
Does it work on my phone?+
Vocabry runs in any modern browser and installs to your home screen like a native app. The layout adapts per device: bottom tabs on phones, a two-column dashboard on tablets, a full sidebar on desktop. Your progress syncs across all of them.
Can Vocabry map our institute’s textbook?+
Yes. Curriculum mapping is done per institute. You send your textbook and lesson structure, and we build the lesson sequence, vocabulary sets and example sentences to match. Mapping is included in the setup process, not an add-on.
What does Vocabry cost for a language institute?+
Pricing is built per institute across three variables: how many students you have, how many languages you need mapped, and which features you want at launch. Image-based flashcards, where every word carries a visual as well as a sentence, are an optional add-on rather than part of the base build. Send us your numbers and we'll quote for your setup.
How long does it take to get our curriculum live?+
Typically 7 to 14 days from receiving your textbook and lesson structure, depending on how many features you need at launch.
Which textbook do we need to use?+
Yours. Vocabry doesn't come with a fixed curriculum. You tell us what your institute teaches from, we source that book and map it lesson by lesson, so the app matches your syllabus rather than the other way round.
Do students need to install anything?+
No. Vocabry runs in the browser on desktop, tablet and phone. Students log in with the account their institute issues.
